Fragrance

Brands and online stores for fragrance houses.

Nobody can smell a perfume through a screen. Selling fragrance online means translating scent into image, colour and language clearly enough that someone buys a 50 ml bottle they've never tried. That's a design problem, and it's one we enjoy.

Mira Visions designs fragrance brands and the stores that sell them: identity, packaging, 3D bottle renders, campaign content and e-commerce. Our fragrance work includes Nuarai, a luxury niche-fragrance brand built end to end, and the multilingual storefront rebuild for Seraya Fragrance.

Selling something people can't smell

Fragrance shoppers navigate by feeling, not by spec sheet. Most don't know what "oriental woody" means, but they know whether they want something fresh, warm or sweet. The stores that convert speak that language. When we rebuilt Seraya Fragrance's storefront, we replaced a single grid of thirty-odd products with three levels: what you wear it on (hair, body, or both), how it makes you feel, then the product. Each level became a real page that shoppers can land on from search.

Imagery does the rest. Rather than printing a note pyramid as text, Seraya's product pages show the raw materials around the bottle, lit the same way across the range so the collection reads as a set.

The bottle and the box

In fragrance, packaging is half the product. The bottle sits on a dresser for months; the box is the unboxing moment people post. For Nuarai, a niche-inspired perfume house, we built the identity and the premium packaging together so the wordmark, the materials and the colour story all point at the same mood.

3D is especially useful here. Glass, liquid and reflections are hard and expensive to photograph well, and a range that shares one bottle needs every shot to match. For Seraya we measured the real flacon, modelled it, lit it once and reused that setup across the range, so a new scent costs a render rather than a photoshoot.

  • Identity and wordmark designed for small, embossed and foiled applications
  • Bottle labels, boxes and gift sets prepared for print
  • Photoreal 3D bottle renders, with consistent lighting across the range
  • Campaign stills and short films for launches and social

Fragrance brands rarely sell in one market

Perfume travels. Seraya sells in Algeria and the Gulf and is moving into Europe, so the store had to work in French, English and Spanish, with every interface string localised by hand and olfactive families written per language rather than machine translated. We plan languages, currencies and markets at the structure stage so they don't become a rebuild later.

Store features that matter for perfume

A few patterns come up on almost every fragrance store we plan: navigation by mood or family, discovery sets or samples to lower the risk of a first purchase, pairing suggestions ("layer it with"), reviews right in the buy box, and gift-ready bundles for the holiday peak. We build what fits your range and leave out what doesn't.

Who we work with in fragrance

Independent and niche perfume houses, founders launching a first collection, and established fragrance brands whose store no longer matches the quality of the juice. Some come to us for the whole brand, like Nuarai; others, like Seraya, already have a strong brand and need the store rebuilt around it. Either way, the work starts by understanding how your customer chooses a scent, then designing the brand and the shopping experience around that moment.

How a fragrance project runs

  1. 01PositioningWho buys, at what price, and what they need to believe before they pay it.
  2. 02Identity & packagingThe system first, then labels and boxes checked against your manufacturer's specs.
  3. 03Content3D renders, product films and lifestyle imagery made from the same brand rules.
  4. 04StoreA Shopify or custom-coded store built around how people shop the category.

Frequently asked questions

Can you render our bottle in 3D before it's manufactured?

Yes. With the bottle's dimensions or technical drawing we can model it and produce renders for the store and pre-launch campaign.

Do you build multilingual fragrance stores?

Yes. Seraya Fragrance's store runs in French, English and Spanish, with interface strings localised by hand.

Shopify or custom for a perfume brand?

Most fragrance brands are well served by a custom Shopify theme. Custom code makes sense when design freedom or speed matters more than the app ecosystem.

What does it cost?

Identities start from $2,500 CAD, Shopify stores from $4,000 CAD and 3D product visuals from $800 per product. Packaging and films are quoted per project.
