Bioraya · Morocco

A recipe older than the brand that sells it

Better with sound.

The work

Zoumita is a Moroccan household staple: ten toasted grains, pulses and herbs, traditionally given to women after childbirth. Bioraya bottles it. We built the identity, the trilingual label, the 3D library and the store.

Six weeks end to end, on a product whose whole credibility rests on looking like it came from a family kitchen rather than a factory.

The mark

A seed, an o, and a leaf

The whole identity hangs off one letter. The o in bioraya carries a leaf where its accent would sit, which makes the mark and the name the same object: it can run as a full logotype on a label, or alone as an app icon at sixteen pixels.

Packaging design

The label, opened flat

A single printed sheet that wraps a cylinder, so it has to be designed flat and checked in the round. French and Arabic run in parallel across the ingredient list, the dosage, the preparation method and the certification, all on one pass.

The launch film

The label finds its jar

One continuous shot, built around the flat artwork rather than the finished pack, so the film says the same thing the packaging section does: this is a printed sheet that becomes a product.

  1. The label rides the wind over the rooftops of Marrakech
  2. It drops through the courtyard of a riad, past the zellige and the fountain
  3. A plain black jar waits on a low wooden table
  4. The sheet wraps, settles flat, and the product exists

The recipe

Ten plants, named in three languages

Zoumita is not a formulation somebody invented, it is a recipe passed down. So the brand does not hide the contents behind a proprietary blend, it prints all ten and names each one in French, Latin and Arabic, the way a herbalist would.

How it is used

A supplement you bake with

Zoumita is not a capsule, it is a flour. Nobody buys it without knowing what to do with it, so the preparation is a designed part of the product page rather than a paragraph at the bottom.

Who it is for

3

Moments, not one shopper

Pregnancy, post-partum recovery and healthy weight gain are three different reasons to buy the same jar, and three different sets of questions to answer. Each gets its own card, its own photograph and its own benefit list.

  • Femmes enceintes · pregnancy
  • Jeunes mamans · post-partum recovery
  • Prise de poids saine · healthy weight gain

The store

Two pages doing two jobs

The homepage sells the idea, cream and green, the jar and the tradition behind it. The product page sells the jar: ten ingredient cards, the recipe, the three audiences, then the objections. Largest contentful paint lands at 2.0 seconds.
